THE MIXED BUSINESS TRIO:

Mixed Business TrioMBT features the globe-tested skills of ex-U.S. Navy guitar slinger, Brian Forte, on guitar, banjo and vocals... the jazzically trained chops of JoeyMitchell on the 5-string upright & electric fretless bass... and the jack-of-all-trade skills of Mark O'Dell on guitar, mandolin, steel drums, vocals and percussion. MBT is also very happy to announce that Justin Cody will be playing piano and squeeze box with the band on a regular basis now. Look for Justin at Mick O'Shea's this year!

Music fans will enjoy the band's diverse playlist, which includes both original material and a great selection of covers from all genres spanning the 1920s through today! More often than not it seems MBT is joined by and endless supply of talented friends that always have something special to add to the show!

On a semi-regular basis the band is joined by two very special guest muscians... the virtuosic Justin Cody on piano and accordion... and the talented Brian Bolly on drums and percussion! The 5-piece is the wave of the future so be sure to keep an eye out for this spectacular line up at Mick O'Shea's in Baltimore!

VERY SPECIAL GUESTS (APPEARING ON MBT RECORDINGS) ........

John O'DellJOHN O'DELL: A staple in the Baltimore Bluegrass scene, John O'Dell (Father of M.B.T.'s, Mark O'Dell) is an inspirational singer and songwriter that has been a pillar in the Baltimore, D.C., Va. bluegrass community for over 30 years. He has performed with ALL the bluegrass greats and has lead two very successful bluegrass bands, Windy Ridge and The Good Deale Bluegrass Band) His vocals appear on M.B.T's "Guns & Gold". He also wrote M.B.T.'s acoustic favorite, "You Think It's Better This Way"... stay tuned for a special recording of that track.

Mike AuldridgeMIKE AULDRIDGE: With his skill and his broad definition of the meaning of bluegrass music, Mike Auldridge became known over his multi-decade career as a master of the Dobro, or resonator guitar. Ricky Skaggs , Linda Ronstadt, Lyle Lovette, the Seldom Scene, Emmylou Harris, the list goes on and on. M.B.T. Is priveledged to have Mike appear on Dobro and pedal steel on two tracks: "Guns & Gold" and "We Ain't Broke Yet". (Mike also has is own brand of Resonator guitars. Check them out here.)

MBT w/Randy MorserSome of our past special guests have included the Nashville-met-U.S. Navy guitar slinger, Randy Morser. You can hear some of his hot chicken-picken licks with MBT by clicking here.

MBT has also been visted by CMT's "Can You Duet" co-winner and Sony Music recording artist, Caitlin Fisher. Check out her version of Patty Griffin's Long Ride Home recorded live with MBT at Mick O'Shea's.

Andrew AscosiAndrew Ascosi has been a special guest since the days when Brian Forte used to be a special guest with Andrew Ascosi and Mark O'Dell in Yellow No.5! Andrew graces MBT with his sweet acoustic licks on MBT's "Sweet Spetember"... and vocals and guitar on his co-written song with Mark O' called, "We Ain't Broke Yet".
